Sheeta is being held on an airship by government agents when pirates attack it. She climbs out of a window and falls. The crystal around her neck slows her down, and she drifts into the arms of Pazu, a boy who works the lift at a mine. Pazu’s father once photographed a city in the clouds called Laputa and nobody believed him. Castle in the Sky was the first film made under the Studio Ghibli name, and it is the one with the robots.
What Happens On The Way To Laputa
The Dola gang, air pirates led by a mother with pink pigtails and a cannon, chase them for the crystal. So does Muska, a government agent with his own claim to the city. Sheeta is captured and taken to a fortress where a fallen Laputan robot wakes up when she says the words, and tears the place apart to protect her. The gang takes Pazu on as crew. The city, when they reach it, is a garden with one robot tending it, and under the garden is the weapon Muska came for.
Why It Is The Film Other Films Copy
The robots turned up in Laputa and in Nausicaa and in the Ghibli Museum roof. The Welsh mining town was drawn after Miyazaki visited Wales during the miners’ strike. The scene of Sheeta falling is the one that made the studio’s reputation. Joe Hisaishi’s score was rerecorded for the Disney release. Pazu’s fried eggs on toast are their own meme.
