Derek Zoolander has been male model of the year three times and has one look, Blue Steel, which is the same as his other looks. Hansel, who is so hot right now, beats him. Derek’s three model friends die in a gasoline fight. He goes home to the coal mines of New Jersey, where his father is ashamed of him. Then a fashion designer named Mugatu offers him a comeback. Zoolander opened two weeks after 11 September 2001 with the Twin Towers digitally removed, and it took a decade to become what it is now.

Derek is brainwashed at a day spa with Frankie Goes to Hollywood to do it at Mugatu’s Derelicte show. Matilda, a Time reporter played by Christine Taylor, works it out. Hansel helps, after a walk-off judged by David Bowie. The computer is inside the building. The ending is Derek’s new look, Magnum, stopping a throwing star.
