Four best friends promise nothing will change at Carry Nation High. Two years later Cloe is with the soccer team, Jade is with the science nerds, Sasha is with the cheerleaders and Yasmin eats lunch alone. Meredith Baxter Dimly, the student body president, runs the school as a system of cliques and intends to keep it that way. Bratz: The Movie has a 3.0 on IMDb and a Razzie nomination, and it is watched every year by people who had the dolls.
What Happens With The Talent Show
A food fight gets the four of them in detention together and they remember why they were friends. Meredith is turning sixteen and her party is being filmed for MTV, so she plans to humiliate them there. The friends decide to enter the talent show as a group, Yasmin sings for the first time, and the ending is a performance that beats Meredith at her own party. Jon Voight plays the principal, who is Meredith’s father, in a prosthetic nose.
Why It Keeps Getting Watched
The dolls sold two billion dollars’ worth by 2007 and the film was aimed straight at those buyers. The fashion is the point: every scene is a costume change. Janel Parrish went on to Pretty Little Liars and Logan Browning to Dear White People. It is a bad film with a high rewatch rate, which is its own kind of success.
