Two babies are sent to Earth from two dying planets. One lands in a mansion and becomes Metro Man. The other lands in a prison and becomes Megamind, with a blue head, a fish in a robot suit for a sidekick and a losing record against the hero that stretches back to school. Then one of his plans works. Megamind came out six months after Despicable Me and lost that fight at the box office, and it is the better film.
What Happens After Metro Man Dies
Megamind takes over Metro City, redecorates, and is bored within weeks. He decides to create a new hero to fight, using Metro Man’s DNA, and accidentally injects it into Hal, a cameraman with a crush on the reporter Roxanne Ritchi. Hal becomes Titan, who is worse than any villain. Megamind, who has been dating Roxanne in disguise as a museum curator, has to become the hero. Metro Man, it turns out, is not dead. He just quit to play guitar.
Why People Keep Discovering It
Will Ferrell gives Megamind a speech impediment that turns Metro City into Metrocity and school into shool. Brad Pitt plays Metro Man as a man tired of being perfect. Tina Fey’s Roxanne is the only person in the film who is not an idiot. The soundtrack is Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC and Ozzy. The 2024 sequel exists and should be avoided.
