Elle Evans and Lee Flynn were born on the same day in the same hospital and have been best friends ever since, with a list of rules. Rule nine: relatives of your best friend are off limits. Lee’s older brother Noah is a motorbike-riding, fist-fighting senior that every girl at school wants, and Elle has wanted him since she was a kid. The kissing booth at the carnival is where the rule breaks. The Kissing Booth was one of Netflix’s most-watched original films when it came out, and it launched Jacob Elordi.
What Happens After The Booth
Elle and Noah start seeing each other in secret, which means lying to Lee. There is a pool, a Hollywood sign, a beach house, and Noah punching anyone who looks at Elle, which the film does not treat as a problem until it does. Lee finds out at the worst moment. Noah is leaving for Harvard at the end of the summer, and Elle has to decide between her best friend and his brother, who are the same family.
Who Is In It
Joey King, at 18, had been a child actor for a decade and this made her a lead. Molly Ringwald, the original Hughes heroine, plays the Flynns’ mother. It was based on a Wattpad story by a fifteen-year-old, Beth Reekles, and the two sequels followed in 2020 and 2021. It is a teen film with no ambition beyond being one.
